About
I provide insight for travelers to Thailand and Southeast Asia on how to plan, book and execute quality holiday experiences through giving clients advice on best available airlines, hotels, restaurants and tours that meets their needs and budget. I draw on my experience from traveling to Thailand since 1982 up to the present time, as well as living and working in Thailand from 1990-1997. I will not recommend an airline, hotel, restaurant or destination venue without personal knowledge of it in advance.
Therefore, whether the traveler is looking for a high-end, all- inclusive holiday or planning a trip on a limited budget, I can offer a personalized itinerary to meet the travelers’ needs. If they prefer to utilize the services of a travel agency to book their trip, I refer them to my affiliate travel agent.
I provide outreach efforts to friends, colleagues and acquaintances through photography and news articles. My primary focus going forward is to promote rail travel in Thailand and Southeast Asia through these venues. This is not only for my personal benefit, but to inform future travelers to Thailand and Southeast Asia of the opportunities available to them to travel by rail and see the country from a different perspective.

I record my travel experiences and historic research with photographs to provide visual content for articles I write.

Thailand Visas
Arrival In Thailand
Prior to traveling to Thailand, go to travel.state.gov for passport and visa requirements in the country you plan to visit. Your passport must be valid for a specified period of time and you most likely will need to obtain a visa prior to entry. Thai Immigration will grant you a 30-day visa upon arrival in the Kingdom.
Before arriving in Thailand, you must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within 3 days prior to your planned arrival date and time. Go to https://tdac.immigration.go.th to enter your personal details, passport information, accommodation details, etc.
Consult Royal Thai Consulate
If you plan to visit Thailand for more than 30 days, you will need to apply for a visa and get it approved prior to arrival. Consult your nearest Royal Thai Consulate General online and review the different types of visas available. Once you choose the visa you need it will describe the documentation needed to obtain it. Once approved, the visa will be issued electronically. Thus no need to submit your passport and documentation by mail.
Driving In Thailand
If you plan to rent a car in Thailand or drive someone's car while there, you will first need to take a written driving exam. International Driving Permits are no longer valid on their own.
